Mark W. Mayer, vice president and chief accounting officer of Owens Corning, will retire effective March 31. He will resign as the company's principal accounting officer effective Wednesday. Kelly J. Schmidt, Owens Corning's vice president and controller, will take over as the company's principal accounting officer.

Dave Reese of Kaleidoscope Farms near Mount Cory in Hancock County has been named vice president of the Ohio Christmas Tree Association.
