180th Wing spared in U.S. defense cuts

COLUMBUS — The 180th Fighter Wing at Toledo Express Airport reportedly has been spared in a recent round of federal defense cuts at Ohio Air National Guard bases in Ohio.

The base near Swanton was not on an Ohio Adjutant General’s Department list to cut 794 jobs in the state as part of U.S. Air Force plans to retire 300 aircraft.
