Forty-one area residents from 28 countries became American citizens during a ceremony Thursday at the Toledo Zoo.
U.S. District Judge Jack Zouhary administered the oath of citizenship during the ceremony in the indoor theater of the zoo's Museum of Science.
The new citizens, listed by their country of origin, are:
