Sustainability meeting planned for October
5/10/2012The City of Toledo and Lucas County are collaborating to host a major conference on sustainability in October.
Titled "GreenTown," the conference will include national speakers and highlight the region's efforts to promote sustainable living. Organizers hope the conference will prompt dialogue and ideas about sustainability issues.
The two-day conference will be Oct. 25 and 26 at the SeaGate Convention Centre. It is organized by the Toledo-Lucas County Sustainability Commission with the Chicago-based marketing agency Group Inc., which has put on other GreenTown events in the Midwest.
Sponsors include the University of Toledo, Lathrop Construction, Owens Corning, Live Well Greater Toledo, and The Blade.
