Bedford Twp. summer taxes coming

TEMPERANCE -- Bedford Township's summer tax bills are to arrive in the mail this week and payment is due by Sept. 14, Treasurer Sherri Meyer said.

Taxpayers who miss the deadline will be charged 1 percent interest a month. Taxes are payable at Fifth Third Bank in Lambertville, Citizens Bank in Temperance, by mail, or at the drive-through window or drop slot at Government Center, 8100 Jackman Rd. Those who pay in person should bring the bottom half of the bill so it can be stamped as a receipt.

Totally and permanently disabled taxpayers who are 62 years and older and have an income of less that $40,000 may be able to delay payment without penalty by filling out a form at the treasurer's office. For more information, call 734-847-6791, extension 7342.
