FREMONT — Sandusky County commissioners are considering a proposal promoted to reduce the county’s electricity bills.

A representative of Toledo-based Palmer Energy Co. outlined the plan to the board Tuesday. By joining a pool of county and municipal governments to buy power from Dayton Power and Light for 21 months, he said, Sandusky County could save $6,900 a month compared to what it pays American Electric Power. Commissioners referred the plan to the prosecutor’s office for review.
