TECUMSEH, Mich. -- Authorities believe two men and a juvenile male who were arrested last week are responsible for more than 300 vehicle thefts in Lenawee, Monroe, and Washtenaw counties. Officials have started a campaign to return the stolen items.

The names of the three were not being released because formal charges are pending. Tecumseh police said hundreds of suspected stolen items, including cell phones, GPS units, cash, and sunglasses, were found Aug. 24 at a home in the city where officers were investigating a complaint involving the juvenile.

An investigation led to police obtaining warrants to search a Britton, Mich., home, where more suspected stolen property was discovered.

A Tecumseh Police Department dispatcher said any resident who believes he or she was a victim of the vehicle thefts should call the police department in the jurisdiction where the theft occurred.

Each department in the three-county area has a list of the stolen items, she said.
