The Perrysburg Area Historic Museum is sponsoring an event that brings archaeologist Patrick M. Tucker to the Way Public Library at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Tucker of Assumption, Ohio, is a University of Toledo graduate and works with UT, analyzing works excavated by his alma mater.

He will speak about a 1977 dig, in which he was involved, at the first 1810 settlement by Amos Spafford’s group on the flats where Fort Meigs would be built. Mr. Spafford founded Perrysburg.

Site maps, photos, material culture, faunal remains, and other records from the dig will be on display.

The event is free.
