LIMA, Ohio -- Two people were injured today in a  three-vehicle crash that closed southbound I-75 in Lima for 40 minutes.

The interstate was reopened by 8 p.m.

Traffic on southbound I-75 in Lima was already backed up just before 7 p.m. from an earlier crash. David Rutledge, 69, of Lima, did not see the stopped traffic ahead and at highway speed his pickup truck crashed into the rear of a pickup truck driven by David Reese, 65, of Mount Cory, Ohio. Mr. Reese's vehicle struck the rear of a sport-utility vehicle driven by John Bowen, 46, of Hamilton, Ohio, said Sgt. Bob Burd, of Ohio Highway Patrol Lima post.

Mr. Rutledge and Mr. Reese were taken to Lima Memorial Hospital. Their conditions were not available. Mr. Bowen was not injured. All wore seat belts, Sergeant Burd said.
