It’s official: An Oregon firm’s $28.7 million bid has won an Ohio Department of Transportation contract to overhaul the Anthony Wayne Bridge.

ODOT awarded the contract to E.S. Wagner, the lowest of six bidders, Friday. But state officials said they aren’t ready to announce when a 19-month shutdown of the span will occur.

The project will include replacing two approach spans that are to be removed entirely; deck, sidewalk, railing, and fence reconstruction; rehabilitation of sub-structures, and other upgrades. Its completion is scheduled for Oct. 31, 2015.

Wagner’s $28,694,795.61 bid was below the official project estimate of $28,975,000.
