Donations requested for fireworks show

TEMPERANCE — The township park commission seeks donations to defray the cost of the annual Independence Day fireworks display at Bedford Community Stadium.

“For the last two years, we have sent letters to area businesses asking for donations and the response has been both generous and gratifying,” said John Mohr, chairman of the park commission.

This year’s fireworks display will be the evening of June 28, with a rain date of June 29.

Donations should be payable to Bedford Township-Fireworks and delivered to the township hall, 8100 Jackman Rd, P.O. Box H, Temperance, MI 48182. For more information, call park commissioner Garnet Francis at 734-224-7334.
