Toledo-Lucas County Public Library event to mark massacre 200 years ago

5/4/2013

A wreath ceremony is planned for 10:30 a.m. Sunday, at the Maumee branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, 501 River Rd. The event will commemorate soldiers who were killed in Dudley’s Massacre, which occurred on the same day in 1813.

The soldiers who fought in the massacre were involved with the first siege of Fort Meigs, during the War of 1812.

Attendees of the ceremony are asked to gather in the library’s meeting room before the ceremony. Refreshments will be provided by Kingston Residence.
