Tiffin man found unconscious with head trauma in his residence Monday dies

TIFFIN -- A Tiffin man who was found unconscious with head trauma in his residence, died today, Lucas County Coroner Dr. James Patrick has confirmed.

Police said Dominic Hays, 21, was found Monday in a Perry Street residence where he lives in with family.

He was taken to Mercy Tiffin Hospital then transferred to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Tiffin police reported. 

Tiffin police are investigating the incident, with assistance from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Dr. Patrick expected an autopsy to be conducted Wednesday.
