East Broadway closure in effect until mid-July

City officials have decided to keep part of East Broadway Street closed until mid-July for ongoing street reconstruction instead of reopening it today, the city transportation division announced Thursday.

The work that closed the East Toledo street between Woodville Road and Navarre Avenue on Monday will also require setting up one-way traffic north of Navarre, officials said.

Starting at 9 a.m. today, East Broadway will be one-way southbound between Nevada Street and Navarre. Northbound traffic will be detoured via Woodville, Navarre, White Street, and Starr Avenue.

East Broadway reconstruction is scheduled to end in mid-September. Additional work phases will be announced when current work is finished, officials said.
