The American Cancer Society’s Sylvania Relay for Life, the fund-raising event that celebrates survivorship, is taking registrations for the May 31 event at Southview High School.

The relay is 6 p.m. to midnight. Activities and entertainment include a team challenge to make fashion from newspaper and duct tape, a tug of war, and a scavenger hunt.

A ceremony will honor those battling cancer and remember those who lost their lives.

Local businesses, schools, churches, and families attend the run for the camaraderie, food, music, and entertainment.

For more information, visit relayforlife.org/sylvania. Runners also can register an hour before the event.
