Judge sworn in as new Toledo Bar president

Lucas County Juvenile Court Judge Connie Zemmelman was sworn in Tuesday as president of the Toledo Bar Association at the group’s annual meeting in the Park Inn.

Judge Zemmelman, who graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1981, became a juvenile court judge in 2007. She took the oath of office from her husband, Lucas County Domestic Relations Judge Norman Zemmelman.

Judge Connie Zemmelman begins as president on July 1. About 1,550 northwest Ohio attorneys are members.

Other new officers include Randall Dixon, first vice president; Michelle Kranz, second vice president; Vallie Bowman-English, third vice president; Richard Heck, treasurer, and Joan Rife, secretary.
