Sylvania Cycling Classic kicks off July 7 at Burnham Park

The Annual Sylvania Cycling Classic is to include races and food and activities for spectators.
On July 7, about 300 cyclists will participate. The contest starts with a men’s race at 8 a.m. in Burnham Park, between Maplewood Avenue and Erie Street. More than 10 races will occur during the day. A children’s race is slated for 12:15 p.m.
A noncompetitive race will start at 1 p.m.
Plummer Pool, 6940 Maplewood Ave., will be open. Sylvania Recycles plans to give away refurbished bikes to children.
