Flood advisories issue for area counties

The National Weather Service has issued urban and small stream flood advisories today for Monroe County until 9:30 p.m., and in Lucas, Wood, Ottawa and Sandusky counties until 6 p.m.

Flood advisories in Hancock, Seneca and Wyandot counties issued until 5 p.m. have been lifted.

Forecasters warn travelers to be on the watch for runoff from excessive rainfall along small streams and low water crossings.

In the Toledo area, the National Weather Service forecasts more showers, with possibly a thunderstorm this afternoon and evening, with some of the storms capable of producing heavy rain.
