Northbound Upton to close for repair work

Street reconstruction will close Upton Avenue to northbound traffic between Dorr and Bancroft streets starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, the city transportation division announced.

Palmwood, Fernwood, Norwood, Foster, and Woodruff avenues and Grand Court all will be closed on the east side of their intersections with Upton. Two-way traffic will be allowed temporarily on Norwood and Fernwood in the area to accommodate local traffic.

Construction is scheduled to last into October.
