Toledo county, state, and federal government offices are closed today in observance of Independence Day, as are Oregon, Maumee, Perrysburg, and Sylvania city offices. Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicle deputy registrar sites across the state also are closed.
A list of select businesses and services is as follows:
Owens Community College Toledo-area and Findlay area campuses as well as the Arrowhead Park Learning Center in Maumee and the Learning Center at The Source in downtown Toledo are closed today and Friday.
The University of Toledo has no classes today only.
Meter parking in downtown Toledo is free today.
The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library in downtown Toledo and all its branches are closed today.
Toledo’s Department of Public Utilities are closed today, along with Toledo Edison and its parent company, FirstEnergy, and Columbia Gas. Emergency services are available for customers.
Westfield Franklin Park shopping mall and the Fallen Timbers mall are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today; the Town Center at Levis Commons is closed.
Post offices are closed today; mail will not be delivered.
Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses are operating on a holiday schedule today.
Trash pickup is delayed one day for Toledo residents. Collection services in other communities vary.
