Toledo residents will be able to dump bulk waste free on Saturday at the Hoffman Road Landfill, a spokesman for Mayor Mike Bell announced.
The landfill will be open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proof of residency will be required in the form of a current utility bill and valid photo identification.
According to the mayor's office, acceptable bulky waste items include excess trash, furniture, carpeting, mattresses, wood waste, and scrap metal. Commercial dumping will not be free.
A complete list of prohibited items and information about hazardous waste disposal can be found on the Solid Waste page on the city’s Web site, toledo.oh.gov.
