BOWLING GREEN -- City crews worked today to restore electrical power to several customers and directed traffic around closed roads after overnight storms downed several utility poles in the city, authorities said.

Two businesses and a house were still without power as of 10 a.m., with power to those expected to return later in the day, according to the city of Bowling Green electric division.

Bowling Green police said the general area of East Wooster Street and Dunbridge Road appeared to be the hardest hit, with at least a dozen poles down.

Due to downed power lines, access is not available to some areas, city authorities said.

There is no access to Dunbridge from East Wooster, with the traffic light at Dunbridge and East Wooster not functioning and may not be for several days. Also, no eastbound traffic is permitted from the north and south ramps of I-75, with all traffic being directed west.

Dunbridge between East Wooster and Poe Road is closed until further notice, including the intersection of East Wooster and Dunbridge Road, city authorities said.

A detour for those needing access to Research Drive was established via Poe Road.

Bowling Green, the seat of Wood County, is about 20 miles south of Toledo.
