Baby taken to Toledo Hospital after falling into Willy's Park Pool

A baby was taken to Toledo Hospital today after falling into the water at Willy's Park Pool, 1375 Hillcrest Ave., according to Toledo police Sgt. Joe Heffernan.

He said lifeguards assisted with helping the child out of the pool. The call to police was reported just after 4:30 p.m.

Sgt. Heffernan said the child is expected to recover. He did not know the gender or age of the baby.

“They took the child to Toledo Hospital more for precautionary purposes than anything else,” he said.

No other details about the incident were immediately available.
