Oregon levy eyed to help fund senior-citizen services

Councilman Terry Reeves has called a meeting of the parks and recreation committee he chairs for 7 p.m. today to discuss placing a levy for senior-citizen services on the Nov. 5 ballot.

The meeting will be in the conference room of the municipal building, 5330 Seaman Rd. The regular council meeting will follow at 8.

Potential foster parents invited to open house

New Harvest Christian Church, 3540 Seaman Rd., will hold an open house July 30 at 7 p.m. to share information about how to become a licensed foster parent. Light refreshments will be served.

The event will include a discussion panel with representatives from Lucas County Children Services and foster parents.
