ADRIAN — The Adrian Public Library is closed through Sept. 8 for a lighting project.
The library, located at 143 E. Maumee St. in Adrian, is undergoing a buildingwide lighting renovation that will shutter the library for several days. The closure started Sunday.
The lighting renovations are being done to comply with federal regulations and will result in annual energy savings going forward as well as providing better lighting in the library, according to the library’s Web site.
Library materials will not be due during the closure but can be dropped off at the book returns on the building’s south side or the drive-up return behind City Hall.
The library’s Breakin’ Away Cafe will stay open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
