Toledo has had record warmth for the second straight day, although today's 95-degree high merely tied the record for the date.

The 95-degree temperature was reported at 2:02 p.m. at Toledo Express Airport, according to the National Weather Service office in Cleveland. That tied a record set in 1931, when Toledo's official weather reporting station was downtown.

Local temperatures have cooled slightly since then, with wind picking up and potential thunder clouds billowing to the north and west. At 5 p.m., the Toledo Express temperature was 89 degrees.

Toledo's high temperature of 97 on Tuesday beat the old record of 95, set in 1983. It also was the warmest temperature so far this year in Toledo.
