Perrysburg Township trustees approved reimbursing $81.96 to a resident whose yard needed to be fixed after a fire truck did some damage during a run.
Usually, township maintenance workers come and fix the damage, but in this scenario, the resident already had it fixed.
“The bill is reasonable, but I’m just worried moving forward,” Trustee Gary Britten said. “This time it was cheap; next time it might not be.”
The trustees also unanimously agreed to the police force’s purchase of four Glock handguns from Vance Law Enforcement for $1,671.
The Maumee and Bowling Green Elk Lodge donated $715.20 for the purchase of fire extinguishers. Fire Chief Tom Brice said it will give the department close to 40 extinguishers for residents who need them.
