Sylvania Ave. near U.S. 23 to close for 16 days

A widening project will close Sylvania Avenue near U.S. 23 for about 16 days, starting today, the Lucas County Engineer’s Office announced.

Sylvania will be widened and resurfaced between Lancelot Road and U.S. 23, extending a widening project completed several years ago east of Lancelot to Holland-Sylvania Road. Through traffic will be detoured at Holland-Sylvania and McCord roads and directed north to Brint Road or south to Central Avenue.
