2 water main breaks cause Fayette advisory

FAYETTE, Ohio — The village of Fayette was to remain under a water boil advisory today after two water main breaks, authorities said. The advisory is for 48 hours and started at 8 a.m. Tuesday, according to the municipal office.

The first water main break was on South Ohio Street and was fixed about 4 a.m. Tuesday while the second was at North Fayette Street and Gross Street, where it was reported about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the municipal office. Crews were at the scene late Tuesday to repair it.

The cause of the breaks remained under investigation.
