COLUMBUS -- As the Obama administration re-enters the recurring battle with congressional Republicans over future potential budget cuts, Vice President Joe Biden will visit North Baltimore on Wednesday to promote investment in infrastructure.
He is expected to make the case that infrastructure development is an investment in both the economy and middle class.
He and U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx plan to visit the CSX Intermodal Terminal as part of a tour of “port” facilities. Details on the visit will be announced later, according to the White House.
The Democratic vice president picked the terminal because it is the primary hub of the National Gateway freight system connecting the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions and is supported by federal, state, and private funds.
He also plans to visit Baltimore, Savannah, GA., and Charleston, S.C. and will promote an upcoming trip to the Panama Canal later this month.41.18283 -83.67827
