Mich. woman dies from injuries after being struck by minivan
11/17/2013MONROE -- A Milan, Mich., woman who was struck Saturday by a vehicle on South Dixie Highway near Dunbar Road has died in a Toledo hospital, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said.
Kelly A. Mazzola, 37, died today in University of Toledo Medical Center, former Medical College of Ohio Hospital.
Deputies said she was standing in the southbound lane of South Dixie in Monroe Township when she was struck at 8:17 p.m. by the van driven by Laura Leege, 52, of Monroe. The accident remains under investigation.
