Springfield Twp. dinner to raise money for cancer victim

The Springfield Township Fire Department will hold a drive-through chicken dinner fund-raiser to benefit longtime dispatcher Cathie Schardt, who is recovering from brain-cancer surgery, Dec. 1 from noon to 5 p.m. at Fire Station 3, 7145 Garden Rd.

The price for a grilled half chicken with cole slaw, baked beans, and a roll will be $7. Homemade baked goods also will be on sale. Free local delivery is available to local businesses and other fire departments with multiple orders.
