A former city worker convicted of violating a protection order was placed on probation for three years and ordered to complete an anger management program.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Myron Duhart also ordered Tuesday that Charles King, 36, spend 90 days on electronic monitoring and submit to random drug and Breathalyzer testing. He gave Mr. King a suspended six-month jail sentence.

Mr. King, who was fired from his job with the city’s Department of Streets, Bridges, and Harbor after his arrest, was convicted of the misdemeanor charge Oct. 30 but was acquitted Oct. 1 by a jury in Toledo Municipal Court on a separate charge of domestic violence.
