University of Findlay names leadership post

FINDLAY — The University of Findlay named Sherri Garner Brumbaugh, owner of a trucking firm, to serve as the 2014 Dana Chair, a post that involves providing leadership over a university class of 11 Dana Scholars.

Ms. Brumbaugh is president and chief executive of Garner Transportation Group of Findlay. She has a master’s degree in guidance and career counseling from Bowling Green State University and a bachelor’s in music education from Ohio State University.

The Dana Scholar Program helps business students use their studies to connect with the business world.

The 2014 class of Dana Scholars includes Haley A. Crawford, Fremont, Ind.; Ohio students Jordan A. Drerup, Joseph Gallell, Sierra J. Hutton, all of Findlay; Jordan Garcia, Fremont; Jacob Heagen, New Concord; Kaulin C. Hooper, Beachwood; Emily N. Mock, Lakeside; Gregory Newland, Kenton; Michele K. Schrambs, Chillicothe, and Debra J. Ward, Fostoria.
