Officials seek 4th man suspected in murder

BLADE STAFF

Authorities are looking for a fourth suspect who has been indicted in the shooting death of a carryout owner this year at his Waterville Township home.

Lucas County Sheriff’s Office officials say that Phillip James Allen, Jr., 22, should be considered armed and dangerous.

Mr. Allen was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury for aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, and aggravated burglary, all with gun specifications. He is the fourth suspect charged in the May 18 death of James Safadi, 34, of 8940 S. River Rd.

Adam Anderson, 20, of 2436 Fulton St.; Ronald Rooker, 32, who was a neighbor of the victim, and James Allen, 18, of 1732 E. Westland Gardens Rd. also have been indicted and were all held in the Lucas County jail each in lieu of $5 million bond.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Phillip James Allen, Jr., should call Crimestoppers at 419-255-1111.
