The Ohio Department of Transportation is taking public comments about its upcoming project to rebuild I-75 between Dorr Street and Central Avenue in central Toledo.

Construction, which will include rebuilding ramps at Collingwood Boulevard, Lawrence and Bancroft streets, and Detroit Avenue along with work on two overpasses and drainage improvements, is to start in the spring and continue into 2015.

No modifications to the freeway or ramp layout are planned except for minor widening at the I-475 junction, with no new right-of-way required. Traffic will be reduced from four lanes to two in each direction during construction and long-term ramp closings will occur.

Comments may be submitted at the I-75 Pavement Reconstruction page on the ODOT District 2 Web site: dot.state.-oh.us/districts/D02; via email to Kacey.smith@dot.state.-oh.us; or to the attention of Kacey Smith, ODOT’s district environmental coordinator, at Ohio Department of Transportation, District 2, 317 East Poe Rd., Bowling Green, 43402-1330.

Comments must be received by Jan. 9 to be considered.
