The Perrysburg Area Historic Museum hopes to open in the next few months and seeks funding help from Perrysburg Township.

Members made their case for funds to complete their project to the township trustees Wednesday. No specific amount was requested.

The Perrysburg Area Historic Museum, a nonprofit organization, has received $25,000 from the Perrysburg Rotary and $10,000 from the city of Perrysburg. Project liaison J.D. Justus said the group wants to finish the museum's basement and add outdoor lighting to the site at 27340 W. River Rd.

The trustees delayed a decision until Trustee Gary Britten was present. He was out of town.
