ProMedica will hold a health-insurance exposition Wednesday at Toledo Hospital for uninsured residents to learn about and sign up for insurance in the Affordable Care Act marketplace.

March 31 is the deadline for people to get coverage without paying penalties. Under the Affordable Care Act, most adult Americans under age 65 will be required to have health insurance by April 1 or face a fee of 1 percent of their annual income or $95.

The event from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Toledo Hospital’s Education Center Auditorium will feature representatives from Paramount, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, CareSource, Ambetter from Buckeye Community Health Plan, and Medical Mutual insurance companies, as well as “navigators” from the Neighborhood Health Association to help with enrollment.
