It's another cold Tuesday in Toledo, with below-zero temperatures keeping a firm grip on the city.

The - 10 degree low today at Toledo Express Airport has tied the record for the date, set in 1977. It is the second record-low tie this month, along with two outright record lows of -15 and -14 on Jan. 6 and 7, respectively.

However, the city is still far from its coldest-ever day. Toledo's all-time record of - 20 was set on Jan. 21, 1984.

The average daily mean temperature at the airport through Jan. 27 is 16.5 degrees, which if it holds through Friday will tie this month for the eighth-coldest January on record in Toledo. The record, 9.6 degrees, was set in 1977.

Monday's low temperature of -6 was one degree shy of the record for that day.
