FREMONT — State Rep. Rex Damschroder (R., Fremont) has filed to run for another term in the Ohio House of Representatives from the 88th District.

Mr. Damschroder, 64, filed petitions at the Sandusky County Board of Elections on Monday. No one else has filed, and no one else has publicly taken out petitions, according to the elections board.

“I’m looking forward to working hard to get re-elected,” Mr. Damschroder said Wednesday. The manager of family-owned Fremont Airport, Mr. Damschroder was a state representative from 1995 to 2003 when he had to step down because of term limits. He was elected again in 2010 and 2012, and chairs the House’s Transportation, Public Safety, and Homeland Security Committee.

The district includes Sandusky County and most of Seneca County.
