Holiday schedule: Presidents Day
2/14/2014Toledo, county, state, and federal government offices will be closed Monday in observance of Presidents’ Day.
Government offices in Sylvania, and Perrysburg will be closed; Oregon and Maumee offices will be open, but the municipal courts will be closed.
Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicle deputy registrar sites across the state will be closed or will offer limited services.
Following is a list of select businesses and services:
Public utilities
Toledo Edison and its parent company FirstEnergy will be open, as will Columbia Gas. The Toledo Department of Public Utilities will be closed.
Retail centers
Franklin Park Mall shopping mall, Levis Commons, and The Shops at Fallen Timbers will be open regular hours.
Schools
Public and parochial schools will be closed.
Libraries
All branches of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library will be open.
Mail service
Post offices will be closed; there will be no mail delivery.
Bus service
Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on regular weekday schedules.
Trash pickup
Refuse collection will be on a regular schedule for Toledo residents; collection services in suburban communities vary.
Parking
Meter parking will be free in downtown Toledo.
