Utility work to disrupt traffic in West Toledo

Utility work will require lane closings on part of Monroe Street near Franklin Park Mall starting today and will close Berdan Avenue just west of Upton Avenue, the city transportation division announced.

Sewer work will affect Monroe between Talmadge Road and Naomi Drive, along the mall’s northern perimeter, through next week. Traffic delays are likely.

Meanwhile, gas-line work will close Berdan between Upton and Kelly avenues today and Friday. No detour route is to be posted; the closest alternative for traffic is Sylvania Avenue.
