City to help Toledo youths find jobs

Mayor D. Michael Collins announced today that the city will work with area employers to provide jobs for area youth during the summer.

Speaking at a news conference on the 22nd floor of One Government Center, Mayor Collins implored area employers to consider hiring teens and young adults for summer jobs.

To help with that, the city will host a Summer Teen Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 3 at SeaGate Convention Centre in downtown Toledo.

Businesses that would like to employ youths are asked to call the City of Toledo Youth Commission at 419-245-1417.
