Craig Memorial Bridge reopens after delay due to cold

The Craig Memorial Bridge is now open after it was closed for painting since January.

The Craig Memorial Bridge has reopened following repainting of its draw spans.

The bridge was closed to all traffic, both vehicular and marine, in early January for the work. It was closed to boats because it could not be opened while painting was under way, while equipment for the work was set up on the travel lanes, blocking it to vehicle traffic.

Reopening was delayed 12 days because of extreme cold.

Lane closings will continue on the bridge during repainting of other spans that do not affect boat traffic.
