A woman considered to be a “person of interest” in a Texas murder was arrested in Toledo on Sunday.

Cassandra Lopez, 21, was taken into custody by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center where she was receiving treatment for a medical issue that she suffered while on a Greyhound bus, officials said.

Ms. Lopez is accused in the March 22 shooting death of her boyfriend, Omar Alejandro Diaz, in Synder, Texas.

It was unclear where Ms. Lopez was heading to or if Toledo was her destination.

Officials from the Texas Department of Public Safety report that Mr. Diaz was found dead inside his Synder home.

Ms. Lopez is being held in Lucas County jail pending extradition.
