FINDLAY — A Findlay man accused of robbing a pharmacy Monday was jailed Tuesday in Hancock County after being treated for pills he swallowed before his arrest, authorities said.

Daniel Stone, 29, is charged with theft and robbery for the incident about 7:35 p.m. Monday in which a man announced a robbery at the CVS Pharmacy, 463 Tiffin Ave., and demanded and received the store’s supply of Oxycontin and Adderal pills. No weapon was displayed or found.

Police said the suspect had been fighting with his wife and told her he planned to rob a drugstore so he could go back to jail. He surrendered when police arrived, but not before ingesting an unknown quantity of pills.

He was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital.
