Earth Day-themed dog adoption event on Sat.
4/25/2014Lucas County Canine Care & Control is holding a “Reduce, Reuse, Rescue” adoption event Saturday.
Dog adoption fees during an Earth Day-themed event from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the 410 S. Erie Street shelter near downtown Toledo will be reduced by $22, from $100 to $78. Adopters must also purchase a $25 dog license.
Information on recycling and green living as well as crafts and games for children will be included in event activities.
The shelter is seeking old bedding, blankets, and towels to reuse for the dogs at the shelter.
