Hiker to share Appalachian Trail travels
Sylvania Twp. woman to describe her experiences
5/12/2014Cheryl McCormick of Sylvania Township will describe her experiences through hiking the Appalachian Trail during a program Wednesday evening at Way Public Library.
Ms. McCormick began the 2,187-mile, six-month trek from Georgia to Maine on her 63rd birthday last year and completed it 165 days later. The program starts at 7 p.m., with free admission and refreshments.
On Thursday at 7 p.m., the library and Prizm will have the monthly author-support group “No Mic Night.” The group encourages writers to motivate themselves and practice their craft by connecting with other authors. Each month includes peer review, useful feedback, and tips for getting published, within an informal atmosphere.
