A 7th grade teacher at Whittier Elementary School in West Toledo has been suspended with pay, pending the outcome of an internal investigation into a complaint that alleges she tripped one of her students.

Cathleen Odoms was accused of tripping the student, a 7th grade boy, on school property Friday, Patty Mazur, Toledo Public Schools spokesman, said today.

The child's name and other details were not released.

No injury was reported. "It was very much an isolated incident," Ms. Mazur said.
