Hundreds cycle in silence

5/22/2014

Bill Pedee of West Toledo, center, joins hundreds of other cyclists participating in the 11th annual National Ride of Silence at the University of Toledo’s main campus. The ride is held to raise awareness of cyclists on roadways and remember those who have been injured or killed while riding. The ride lasted about an hour Wednesday evening and traveled a highly visible course throughout the city for about eight miles. Police escorted the cyclists, who rode silently.
